Vaidyaratnam’s manufacturing unit at Chuvannamannu goes solar

Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala’s Chuvannamannu manufacturing unit will now be powered by solar energy. Vaidyaratnam is the first Ayurveda company to go solar.

The solar-powered plant was inaugurated by Vaidyaratnam’s Executive Director Dr. E.T. Yadu Narayanan Mooss, in the presence of Chief General Manager Mr. T.N. Neelakantan and Dr. Sreelal. In the near future, Vaidyaratnam Nursing Home and the manufacturing unit at Pollachi will also go solar.

Commenting on the decision to go solar, Dr. Yadu Narayanan Mooss said “Ayurveda is all about living closer to nature, and going solar is only a natural extension of our go green philosophy. The solar unit will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50000 metric tonnes.”
